Our story is real
and began from a dream.
When close friends Luiz Troes e Zulmiro Marin decided to invest all their savings in opening a furniture factory, they could not have imagined how far their dream would go. Together, in 1979, they founded Tremarin in the city of Farroupilha (Rio Grande do Sul). They started in a 100-square metres modest warehouse, producing bespoke furniture. The team was small but highly dedicated, and both friends always fought hard to grow and strengthen their dream.
In just a few years, the company grew rapidly and reached new heights by satisfying all orders for custom furniture that the market presented, with impeccable service and attention to detail. One day, they received a different kind of order: to mass-produce Tramontina's packaging. That single order would be the catalyst for a huge transformation in the two friends' original dream.
Luiz and Zulmiro saw the opportunity to start mass-producing furniture, thus expanding the scale of their operations and market penetration. They invested in new machinery and techniques, which were added onto the previous experience and knowledge to create even better results. At the same time, the family of both founders began working in the company, helping in product development, sales and exports, allowing the firm to open up to new experiences and markets.
The family's interest in the business showed them that the dream was going ahead. The 100-square metre warehouse they started with, which by then had already been expanded to 1,300, was replaced by a 5,000-square metre facility on a newly acquired plot just outside the city. It finally became possible to better distribute production lines and to develop new products. They could at last plan the future without compromising on quality.
The small local community where the factory was established and where it continues to be to this day benefits from the company's stability, which provides opportunities to develop careers and better quality of life. None of that would have been happened at all if Luiz and Zalmiro had not believed in their dream and in working hard with plenty of love for every single achievement.
